Food License Registration Process

1. Determine the Type of License:
   • Basic Registration: For small businesses with an annual turnover up to ₹12 lakh.
   • State License: For medium-sized businesses with an annual turnover between ₹12 lakh and ₹20 crore.
   • Central License: For large businesses with an annual turnover exceeding ₹20 crore or operating across multiple states.
2. Gather Required Documents:
   • Collect all necessary documents as listed above, including proof of identity, business registration, and FSMS plan.
3. Apply Online:
   • Visit the FSSAI online portal and create an account.
   • Choose the appropriate license type and fill out the application form.
   • Upload the required documents and submit the application.
4. Fee Payment:
   • Pay the applicable fee based on the type of license and the size of the business. Payment can be made online through the FSSAI portal.
5. Verification and Inspection:
   • The application will be reviewed by FSSAI officials.
   • An inspection may be conducted at the food processing or manufacturing unit to verify compliance with safety standards.
6. License Issuance:
   • Upon successful verification and inspection, the food license will be issued.
   • The license is typically valid for a period of 1 to 5 years, depending on the type and duration chosen.
7. Renewal:
