Food License Registration Process

- State License: For medium-sized businesses with an annual turnover between ₹12 lakh and ₹20 crore.
- Central License: For large businesses with an annual turnover exceeding ₹20 crore or operating across multiple states.

- Collect all necessary documents as listed above, including proof of identity, business registration, and FSMS plan.
- Apply Online:
- Visit the FSSAI online portal and create an account.
- Choose the appropriate license type and fill out the application form.
- Upload the required documents and submit the application.
- Fee Payment:
- Pay the applicable fee based on the type of license and the size of the business. Payment can be made online through the FSSAI portal.
- Verification and Inspection:
- The application will be reviewed by FSSAI officials.
- An inspection may be conducted at the food processing or manufacturing unit to verify compliance with safety standards.
- License Issuance:
- Upon successful verification and inspection, the food license will be issued.
- The license is typically valid for a period of 1 to 5 years, depending on the type and duration chosen.
